A Day In The Death Of Joe Egg
The title of the article is ‘A Day in the Death of Joe
Egg’. The article was printed by Mark Cook & Lyn
Gardner. The article is dated the 30th of March 2013.
The basic subject matter of the script is death of Joe Egg. The main idea of the
article to inform about Simon Stephens's adaptation of the curious incident
of the dog in the night-time, currently in the West End, intelligently charts
some of the difficulties of bringing up a child with Asperger's. Originally
produced at the Citizens in Glasgow, it tells the story of school teacher, Bri
– played by Ralf Little – and his wife Sheila (Rebecca Johnson) whose marriage
is collapsing under the strain of caring for their daughter, Josephine, whom
they've nicknamed Joe Egg. It's
a bleak and darkly comic play, which shocked its original audiences and still
has the power to surprise and move us today.
